I’m a bloke in the UK who’s in his forties, is married with three kids. I work in IT, I like playing sport, playing musical instruments and listening to music. I like playing and watching sport, these days it’s cycling, running, swimming, football and squash. I’ve injured myself more times than I care to remember, but the highlights are breaking bones and dislocating joints. The individual sports I’ve played have been to a reasonable level; I’m no world champion, but I can take care of myself. I’ve been in hospitals many times, but rarely as an in-patient. I don’t like needles; who does, I hear you ask… but I’ve had a couple of bad experiences with inexperienced people jabbing them in me badly. I don’t drink, although I used to. I don’t smoke, although I used to. I don’t take illegal drugs… I have a permanently broken rib which sticks out of my chest, you can see it through multiple layers of clothing. I suffer from hypoglycemia which confuses the crap out of people as they can’t understand it. I have an ectopic heartbeat. I have MS.
